The Oakland Asian Cultural Center is seeking prospective volunteers to assist in the following areas:

 

Programs

Assist with events on and off-site (e.g., ticketing, stage management, hospitality, light set-up or clean up, tabling Street Fest, exhibition opening receptions, literary readings, lectures, fundraisers, festivals).

Volunteer Guidelines

Time Commitment

Shifts are usually about 4 hours. Events take place during weekend days or evenings and weekday evenings. We offer you the opportunity to volunteer, and participating is completely voluntary.

 

Age Requirement

All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

 

Dress Code

Dress comfortably when volunteering; more informal for outreach events, and more professional for fundraising events.

 

Volunteer Parking and Transportation

There is the underground Pacific Renaissance Plaza parking that charges $3/hour ($36 max). We are unable to reimburse parking fees. We are located near the 12th street BART station, and there are plenty of AC Transit bus lines nearby. Parking meters are enforced until 6pm Monday through Saturday.
