The Oakland Asian Cultural Center (OACC) offers a unique venue for weddings, fundraisers, workshops, conferences, dance, and theater performances. Funds from rentals directly support community programming and the maintenance of our facility.
General license fees are listed on the Rate Schedule. OACC will provide cost estimates for rental, equipment, staffing, and the refundable damage deposit.
All waste must be sorted properly per City of Oakland rules. Please encourage guests to use the correct bins. Paper or bamboo products are strongly encouraged.
Half the base fee + deposit due at signing. Refund processed ~15 days after event if no issues. Deposit withheld until damages/cleaning are paid. Examples of damage include:
Licensee must secure all required permits, insurance, and licenses and pay applicable taxes. Permits may include liquor licenses, food sale permits, or health certificates.
No open flames permitted (sternos, chafing fuel, candles, etc.) per Fire Department code.
All deliveries/pickups must be pre-approved, use the loading dock, and occur during contracted hours unless otherwise arranged.
Audio/visual equipment available for additional rental fee. Itemized in the Optional Equipment/Additional Service Invoice.
Licensee must provide full event details (schedule, ticket pricing, ticket sales locations). Failure to disclose may result in cancellation and forfeiture of deposit.
Entrances and exits must remain clear and unobstructed. OACC staff will remove any obstructions.
Violence of any kind will result in immediate loss of deposit return rights.
No pets permitted. Service animals and psychiatric service animals are allowed. OACC staff may ask for confirmation that an animal is a service animal.
