An inter-generational celebration of the moving body. All ages, all bodies, all levels are invited to experiment with everyday, pedestrian movement as dance, exploring the notion that we are already always dancing. Inspired by house, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and West African dance styles, we’ll practice responding to rhythm and sound with smooth grooves and ultimate freedom. For beginning to experienced movers, we’re movin’ with joy – with the collective goal of embodying our most playful, expressive selves in our lives, on and off the dance floor.
The workshop will include structured exercises to build movement vocabulary, learning/exchanging short phrases of choreography, and family reunion vibes.
