Oakland Promise

Oakland Promise is an education nonprofit with its mission to increase equity for post-secondary education for underrepresented and low-income youth in Oakland. It operates through a “cradle-to-career” mindset by educating parents on financial literacy and setting them up with college savings accounts and stipends, supporting early childhood development, aiding their way through high school and college access with scholarships, and supporting them through college to ensure they graduate and earn their degrees and/or certificates.
