His wide intellectual interests in philosophy\, history\, and ethnomusicology have led him to author several books on music philosophy and Middle Eastern music theory. His wide intellectual interests in philosophy\, history\, and ethnomusicology have led him to author several books on music philosophy and Middle Eastern music theory.
