Growing Up Asian in America Contest

January 30th, 2017

Our 2017 Growing Up Asian in America program officially launched this week. This year’s theme is “Letter to the Senator”: We are asking Bay Area K-12 students to tell us what issues they think our new California Senator, Kamala Harris (notably the first Indian-American to be elected to the U.S. Senate), should address. They can submit original artwork, essays / poems, or videos.

Contest guidelines are attached and can also be found on our website.

Growing Up Asian in America is one of the biggest celebrations of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month that we know of , and we’d love to get as many youth participating as possible!

Entries are due Friday, March 3, 2017. $20,000 in cash and prizes for our winners.
